A TGV unlike any other
This train, nicknamed ‘la Micheline’ or ‘Trinichellu’ – meaning ‘the wobbler’ – stands as a railway legend, winding its way between L’Isula – L’Ile Rousse and Calvi. With its bumpy carriages, it has been transforming every journey since 1878 into a unique experience, combining discovery and contemplation thanks to its winding route. This tram is ideal for taking in the coastline, choosing the perfect beach for a dip or travelling to the towns of L’Isula and Calvi.
In an age where everything is speeding up, this ‘TGV’ – or ‘train à grandes vibrations’ as the locals call it – celebrates slowness and invites passengers to savour every view. Far from being merely a means of transport, the Trinichellu is a veritable guiding thread that winds its way through the landscapes to reveal the hidden gems of Lisula and Balagne.
