From the heart of the city to the lapping waves
So close, yet so unobtrusive. Napoleon Beach only comes into view once you’ve set off on your walk along the Marinella. From the cobbled promenade, your gaze drifts between the tamarisk trees and the benches facing the sea before descending towards the sand. Napoleon Beach stretches for a few hundred metres, right in the heart of L’Isula, with an unobstructed view of the bay’s clear waters and the shores of Cap Corse and Agriate.
Once linked to the Hôtel Napoléon, from which it takes its name, it used to feature a row of beach huts for the illustrious guests staying at the hotel. Whilst the huts have now made way for restaurants, the beach retains its friendly and lively atmosphere. You can walk here, just a few steps from Place Paoli, to settle down facing the sea, amidst the flow of passers-by and the quiet comings and goings of bathers.
