The Church of the Annunziata
In the centre of the village, the Church of the Annunziata was built on the site of an earlier oratory erected in 1640, which was extended over the following centuries. The building houses a 19th-century harmonium in the gallery, which is listed as a historic monument and is currently undergoing conservation work.
The village’s religious heritage is also characterised by devotion to Saint Nicholas. A statue of the saint, imported from Italy in the 19th century, remains at the centre of local processions. Oral tradition links this building to a folk tale: having been spared during a fire at a warehouse in Bastia, the statue is said to have been carried back on foot by the villagers.
