Corse loisir 4x4

In a 4x4 on the tracks of Lisula

Where the roads end

In a 4×4

Leave the tarmac behind, follow the tracks through the maquis and discover landscapes that are sometimes inaccessible by any other means. In a 4×4, exploration takes on a whole new dimension. Hidden valleys, mountain villages, unspoilt beaches or encounters with the local people: every trip reveals a more intimate side to Corsica, as told by those who travel its roads every day.

Crossing the Agriate

The track gradually winds its way deeper into the Agriate. The scenery changes, and the scents of myrtle, mastic, rosemary, rockrose and immortelle accompany you as you walk. The guides recount the history of the shepherds, the crops and the flocks that once inhabited these lands. Then, after several kilometres, the sea finally comes into view, towards Saleccia or Ghignu depending on the route.

Other excursions head towards the inland villages. As the vehicle climbs higher, the landscape opens up to revealagricultural valleys, olive groves, rolling hills and the old roads that once linked the communities. Stops along the way offer the chance to take in the views, explore a church or an old threshing floor, or listen to the stories that still shape the identity of these places.

Discover the flavours and explore the mountains

Some of these outings take the time to step inside a farm, a workshop or a wine cellar. The 4×4 then becomes a means of making connections. A producer talks about their trade, a winegrower shares their work in the vineyards, a livestock farmer discusses their connection to the land. Tastings take place throughout the day, offering an opportunity to discover the region’s traditional skills.

Other routes head into the inland hills, where the landscapes become more expansive. The valleys deepen, forests appear and mountain peaks frame the horizon. A break by a river, a viewpoint overlooking the mountains or the tranquillity of an unspoilt area remind us that adventure is sometimes more about what you see than how fast you go.
