Blues, soul, gospel and rock under the skies of Calvi, Corsica! Music in all its forms in Balagne

In 2022, for a single evening, Les Rencontres de Calenzana took the gamble of opening their program to blues and soul. Confirming the existence of an enthusiastic audience for this musical genre, the success of the idea dictated what would happen next. Since then, the idea has gained ground... the artistic director of Les Rencontres, Jean Sicurani from Calvi, made the proposal to the town of Calvi, which warmly welcomed the idea. The co-programmer is Charly Ménassé, a Calenzan native and professional drummer who has worked on stage and in the studio with some of the greatest names.
