CNCM Voce presents "Chjama è Rispondi", an annual gathering of improvising poets in Pigna since 1986. Rhymes and songs collide under the dome of the Auditorium, for a convivial moment of tradition, laughter and sharing with the audience.
"Chjama è Rispondi" is a must-see event in Corsican oral tradition, held every year between Christmas and New Year’s Day.
Listed as Intangible Cultural Heritage by the Ministry of Culture, this ancestral art form brings together improvisational poets who compete in sung verse, displaying talent, humor, and spontaneity.
A unique evening to discover the full richness of this popular art form passed down from generation to generation.
This 40th edition will bring together poets of all ages on the stage of the Pigna Auditorium, where the younger generation will engage in dialogue with the most experienced voices.
The evening will continue at 8 p.m. with a convivial dinner at the Casa Musicale (reservations required), in a warm atmosphere where poetic contests, songs, and conversation will continue late into the night.
