Tourist tax

The tourist tax is payable by visitors staying in paid accommodation within the area. It is collected by accommodation providers or, in some cases, directly by booking platforms, and is then paid to the local authority. The revenue generated helps to fund initiatives designed to promote tourism and the development of the area’s tourism sector.

Instructions for use

Theamount of the tourist tax depends, amongst other things, on the type of accommodation, its classification and the number of people staying there. As the party responsible for collecting the tax, the accommodation provider must apply the rate corresponding to their establishment, take into account any exemptions, declare the number of overnight stays and pay the sums collected in accordance with the applicable procedures.

The L’Ile-Rousse – Balagne Community of Communes provides a dedicated portal containing all the necessary information: applicable rates, calculation rules, reporting periods and procedures, exemptions and payment procedures. The personal account also enables accommodation providers to submit their declarations directly online.

The L’Ile-Rousse – Balagne Community of Communes is here to provide you with information and support regarding the collection, declaration and payment of the tourist tax.
