After Napoleon Beach
At the end of the A Marinella promenade, the rocks mark a narrow passage. As you round them, the landscape changes slightly. Caruchettu beach comes into view, more uneven in character, with rocks jutting out of the sand to form natural pools at the water’s edge.
The rocks become a vantage point; the landing nets are out, as are the masks and snorkels. Here, people watch the fish, rummage amongst the stones and take the time to savour the underwater spectacle. The older children climb onto the highest rocks and turn them into natural diving platforms.
The fine, light-coloured sand is ideal for playing and relaxing. Less uniform than its neighbour, this beach offers a different experience – perfect for an impromptu game of beach volleyball, closer to the water.
