As the water flows

Take a leisurely stroll through Lisula

Let yourself drift

In Lisula, the sea is an open-air playground. Whether moving to the rhythm of the wind or a paddle, or hurtling at full speed across the waves, the Mediterranean can be experienced however you wish. Whether in the calm waters of the Bay of L’Isula – L’Ile-Rousse, the Gulf of Ostriconi or the shores ofAlgaiola – Algajola, water sports offer a thousand ways to explore and admire the coastline.

A smooth browsing experience

FromL’Isula Bay to the Gulf ofL’Osari – Losari, the sea becomes a playground open to all. Whether standing on a stand-up paddleboard, sitting in a kayak or aboard a canoe, you glide gently along the water, propelled solely by the movement of the paddle. The coastline is revealed in a whole new light: the rocks of La Pietra, the crystal-clear waters of Bodri and the secluded coves of L’Osari take on a new dimension when viewed from sea level.

In the morning, when the surface is perfectly smooth, the experience is unique. Every stroke brings you a little closer to the landscape. You can observe the seabed, the play of light on the sand and, occasionally, a few fish swimming beneath the boat. A simple, silent and respectful way to experience the Mediterranean.

To the rhythm of Aeolus

In Lisula, water sports are also shaped by the wind, which is said to have originated in Balagne. Youngsters get their first taste of the sport on an Optimist or at the Club des Pirates de L’Isula, whilst sailing enthusiasts head out to sea aboard a Hobie Cat or a small catamaran. Here, learning to sail also means learning to read the sea, the currents and the winds that shape the coastline.

When conditions pick up, wingfoil enthusiasts and surfers flock to the beaches of Ostriconi, Bodri andAlgaiola. On windy, choppy days, these spots offer ideal conditions for gliding against a backdrop of some of the best-preserved landscapes in northern Corsica.

Thrills overlooking the Mediterranean

For those who love the adrenaline rush of roaring engines, the sea becomes a playground for adventure. Tight turns on a jet ski, the thrill of an electric surfboard, bursts of laughter on a towable tube, or performing stunts on a flyboard all offer a more dynamic way to experience the coastline.

Others choose to take to the skies. Suspended beneath a parasail, you can take in the whole of L’Isula Bay, the Pietra Islands, the white sandy beaches and the mountains in the background.
