Keeping fit in Lisula

To each their own sport

Whether it’s between swims, after a hike or simply for the pleasure of being active, Lisula offers plenty of ways to look after yourself. Racket sports, golf, fitness, Pilates or getting back into shape: here, everyone can tailor their holiday to their own pace, balancing exercise, enjoyment and wellbeing.

Tennis or Padel

In Lisula, everyone chooses their own playing ground. Some prefer the tennis courts just a stone’s throw from the town centre, whilst others favour the panoramic views at the Saint-François sports complex in Munticellu -Monticello. The rallies come thick and fast, the matches go on for ages, and people enjoy both the game and the setting in equal measure.

Padel offers two distinct atmospheres. Outdoors in Munticellu, matches are played under the Lisula sky, with the hills overlooking the Reginu Valley as a backdrop. In Curbara – Corbara, the indoor courts allow for year-round play in a dedicated sports environment. Everywhere, the bounces keep the game going, the pace picks up and the atmosphere remains thoroughly friendly.

For those who love intensity, head to the L’Isula – L’Ile-Rousse squash club. The rallies are more frantic, the movement more explosive, and every point demands concentration and quick reflexes. All in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. A sport firmly establishedin the region, supported by training camps and an international Open that brings together enthusiasts and competitors every year.

Working on your swing

Set amongst olive trees and the scents of the maquis, the Golf du Reginu offers a particularly peaceful setting for its 9-hole course. Here, the fairways wind their way through unspoilt countryside, dominated by the mountains surrounding the valley. Above, kites glide steadily through the sky whilst the course follows the natural undulations of the land.

Hilly and technical without being inaccessible, it invites you both to perfect your swing and to enjoy the tranquillity of the surroundings. A sporting escape where time seems to slow down, far from the hustle and bustle of the coast, in one of Lisula’s most iconic agricultural landscapes: the Reginu Valley.

In Monticello, the mini-golf course at the Saint François sports complex offers a more light-hearted experience, to be enjoyed with family or friends. Its 18 shaded holes, just a few kilometres from L’Isula – L’Ile-Rousse, invite young and old alike to test their accuracy and take on a few challenges in a relaxed atmosphere.

Finding your rhythm

For some, the holidays are a chance to slow down. For others, they’re a chance to find time for themselves and for sport. In Lisula, everyone tailors their workout to suit their own preferences. Some head to a gym, a weight-training centre or a Pilates class to keep fit. Others prefer to lace up their trainers and go for a run in the early hours of the morning or at the end of the day.

La Marinella, the path to the Pietra Lighthouse, the trails linking Bodri to Ghjunchitu, and the L’Osari–Losaripaths all offer plenty of opportunities for a run amidst the sea and nature. More experienced runners can push themselves further on theAndettatrail or the beginners’ trail.

Then comes the time to recover. A secluded cove, a quiet beach or a terrace overlooking the sea provide the ideal setting for a few stretches, a yoga session or simply a moment to catch your breath before continuing with the day.
