The route gets a little longer but remains accessible. The route heads inland, follows the Reginu and alternates between different paths. The terrain is even and relatively flat, giving the body time to find its rhythm and get into its stride.

The route helps you gain confidence, as the downhill section gives you the feeling that you’re really making progress. The route offers a variety of landscapes: it begins with a sea view, passes through the village of Monticello, then winds its way through the maquis to the town centre of L’Isula – L’Ile-Rousse.
In the Pieve del Canale, the mule track between Urtaca and Lama winds its way along a ridge above the Ostriconi valley. The route remains accessible despite a few more technical sections. It passes through villages, offering visitors the chance to explore their churches and their grand Florentine-style houses.
