1. The Battaglia Pass
This route begins at the Col de Battaglia, which overlooks the Reginu valley as far as the Gulf of L’Isula – L’Île-Rousse. The distance is short, but certain more technical sections slow you down. From wide paths along the ridges to narrower tracks that require careful attention, nature sets the pace. As your body moves in rhythm, your gaze is drawn into the distance and your mind feels light. Finally, the route descends into the Ghjunsani valley, well guarded by San Parteu and Monte Padru.
2. The parish of Tuani
Starting from Ville-di-Paraso, the route leads towards the Reginu Valley before heading back up towards Belgudè – Belgodère –, Occhjatana – Occhiatana – and Costa. The mix of roads and footpaths adds variety to the journey throughout the route. This circuit, approximately 51 kilometres long, combines the pleasure of physical exertion with that of discovery. Indeed, it offers the chance to visit villages, squares, churches and fountains, as well as to take the time to put down your walking poles and enjoy a chat with the locals.
3. From Belgudè – Belgodère – to L’Isula – L’Ile-Rousse
Accessible by train, this route is one of the most technically challenging in Lisula. It is over 20 kilometres long and takes up to 6 hours to walk, depending on your pace. The route descends into the Reginu valley, crosses the Codole plain, then climbs 300 metres in altitude towards the villages of Santa Reparata and Monticellu – Monticello. The panoramic views from the ridge are well worth the effort, both inland and towards the Gulf of L’Isula – L’Ile-Rousse.
