Welcome to Lisula

Lisula is situated in Balagne, in north-western Corsica, and comprises the town of L’Isula – L’Ile-Rousse – and 21 municipalities stretching from Pietralba to Pigna and on to Ghjunsani, nestled between the coast, valleys and mountains. To better understand this region, one must look back to the ancient ‘pieve’ – the historic districts around which villages and local life were once organised. L’Ostriconi, Le Canale, Sant’Andria, Sant’Anghjulu, Tuani and Ghjunsani still define distinct geographical areas with their own distinctive landscapes and identities. Exploring them offers a different perspective on Lisula and marks the start of a real-life odyssey…
