Viaghjazz - Terra di’ Conti

Viaghjazz, featuring the voice of Fabienne Marcangeli, tells the story of the Corsicans who set out for the Americas beginning in the 19th century, torn between the hope for a new life and their attachment to their homeland. Inspired by her roots in Cap Corse, the show blends swing, jazz, and bossa nova with songs in several languages, accompanied by Greg Solinas on guitar and Philippe Leiba on double bass. Music, poetry, storytelling, and projected photographs come together to create a poignant journey between Corsica and distant horizons. Petru Pasqualini’s texts, along with poems and writings dedicated to travel, evoke memories of departures, the island’s legacy, and the longing for distant lands.
