Description
The Centre National de Création Musicale Voce offers a masterclass led by Elisabeth Joyé on the organs of Balagne for musicians, whether enlightened amateurs, future or existing professionals, to enrich their musical practice.
This masterclass, led by Élisabeth Joyé, a harpsichordist, organist, and professor, invites participants to explore the close ties between the harpsichord and the organ.
Through the 17th-century European repertoire, participants will learn to better understand the specific characteristics of each instrument and to adapt their interpretation from one to the other.
This “Journey Through the Historic Organs of Balagne” will offer the opportunity to play several exceptional instruments, including Italian harpsichords by Ugo Casalonga. Participants will also have the opportunity to explore several historic organs in Balagne, notably in the villages of Monticello, Lumio, Speluncato, and Corbara, for a deep immersion in the region’s musical heritage.
The Masterclass is aimed at musicians, enlightened amateurs, future or existing professionals, wishing to discover Corsican Italian organs and enrich their musical practice.
